In October 2024, I helped organize the Pink the Rink event with my sorority, Tri Sigma, in collaboration with the Marist College hockey team to support breast cancer research through the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). I led the event and raised nearly $800 on my own, contributing to a total of $8,000 for this important cause. This event was especially meaningful to me as it honored my late mother’s battle with breast cancer. Meeting Donna McKay, the CEO of BCRF, over the summer was an inspiring experience that further fueled my dedication to supporting breast cancer research. Seeing our community come together to make a tangible impact was truly rewarding and reinforced my belief in the power of philanthropy to drive meaningful change.
Philanthrophy
Philanthropy is a core part of my mission as a fashion designer. I believe in using my voice and creative skills to support causes that matter, especially breast cancer awareness, which is deeply personal to me. Fashion is a powerful platform—it has the ability to amplify voices, spark conversations, and bring people together around shared causes. Through my designs, I strive to honor and support those impacted by breast cancer, raising awareness and creating pieces that empower and inspire. For me, design is not only about creating beautiful collections; it’s about making a real, lasting impact in the world.
